Dave Fennoy interviews Tina Morasco on what she's looking for when her Sound & Fury casting agency sends out a call for commercial. Most of the time they're looking for grounded, connected reads, as we all know.

While much of the info here is already know if you've been in the business for a little while, there's always new nuggets. One thing I never knew what why we got rid of the front-end slate. I'd heard it was because the file name always has your name in it, but Tina's reason was because she listens to every single audition coming in and sometimes that means thousands of auditions per day. Paraphrasing, "I have a way of doing it that's kind of zen... and the slate takes me out of that." Basically, she needs to hear that opening line over and over in rapid succession to quickly key in on who's got the vibe and who does not.

Good stuff from the source. https://www.linkedin.com/events/askdavefennoyanythingwtinamoras7087553815935160320/comments/

Has anyone here purchased her coaching library? Thoughts?

I haven't purchased her coaching library but have worked with her a few times. She was good for a tune-up on a few things I'd gotten lazy about. And I like her a lot. Fun to work with.
