Struggling with a much muddier, thinner sound this week coming off my Universal Audio LA 610 into my MBox 2...any suggestions as to what the culprit might be?

Did you accidentally hit one of the EQ switches or knobs? Or the -15db pad on the left? Or the mic impedance?

messed around a bit with the gain on the mic pre side and the gain knob on the compressor side on the right...that one's sounding a little crusty when I move it up and down too.

Give all the knobs a couple of full turns to knock the oxidation off of those pots/knobs. Does that help your original muddiness/thinness?
