Thank you for that link I found it very uplifting!
I am the personification of white, male, educated, middle class privilege. Apart from my personality I have very little standing in my way. I AM old and as ugly as two ugly guys who just got beaten up for being ugly. But that only matters if you are a female girl of the opposite sex!
"Hey ugly guy, wants some more work?"
"Sure"
"While I'm on the phone I need a female VO too! Know any hot hot young ones?

It sums up the point many make of "What makes you unique". (Nancy Wolfson?)
These days more people want the "real thing" & I ain't talking Coca Cola...
Bruce Lee said it right many years ago. Don't be LIKE water. BE water.
Your own flavor of water is what makes you unique.

Philip, I think you would be a good straight guy in comedy scripts. Maybe worth pursuing a bit to see what your agents can dig up. I've been doing improv drop ins for about 7-8 months now. Really like the spontaneity it induces to work with scripts I get. I'm thinking sketch comedy next if I can find a group around here. A bit of personal expansion and growth for me to widen my range. |
