I'm curious as to how many VO actors here are also into SINGING?

After all...you are using the same "instrument."

And YES...the shower counts.

You better believe I use singing as a vocal warmup. Don't tell anybody but I often use "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" from "Oklahoma" or "Comedy Tonight" from "A Funny Thing Happened...". Lots of upper and lower range on those tunes and they lend themselves to full throated (full diaphragm) Broadway style singing. Start softly and build in richness as you warm up.

If anyone's new to this technique I'd say be kind to your instrument and pass on the heavy metal tunes to start.

I sing as a warmup. My favorite is "Try to Remember" from The Fantastiks

It makes a difference.

Hmm. I see the problem here.

Obviously, the key to my success is to quit with the James Taylor, Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot genre and move over to "Show tunes."

Sadly, over the last few years I've grown addicted to some online Karaoke sites.

(Don't judge me) Laugh

Definitely! There's a reason why I keep the piano in the studio. Trying to get back into warming up of a morning and jammin' is a regular thing.
