So, I have a question: I understand that if your demos are going across many sites, Voicezam could be handy, but other than that, what is to stop me from making really short demos and then loading them up into a plain old media player? I love the general concept, but it seems like it could be done for free on my own pretty easily.

Thoughts? Am I missing something?

It can be done pretty easily on your own..if you can do it. You won't get the analytics unless you are/have a rockin' programmer though. Not everyone uses the analytics either. It is just really easy to use the Voicezam player.

Your demos not for YOU, they're for your potential clients.

The ease of accessing those demos is for THEM.

There's nothing stopping you from doing anything, ever, with your demos.
You do want people to listen to those demos, though... right?

Your "plain ol' media player" must be something that works on all devices and is attractive enough to make people want to use it.

Once they're up, you can always send or post links to the little demos.

Little demos are valuable in my part of the VO galaxy.

Here's my Granular-Demos-for Games page.
