Wanted to give you guys first dibs on this before I listed it anywhere else. A Focusrite ISA 220 bought new in February this year from Sweetwater. $1,000 plus shipping and paypal fee. Excellent box just went in a different direction equipment wise. Just don't need it anymore.

By the looks of your avatar... it looks like you'll be selling a lot more equipment, that you don't need anymore.
I had to say that. The avatar and that last sentence, just set me to laughing.
Good luck on the sale.

Steve,
I've gone with a U87>Avalon M5>Urei LA4 setup.

Then by all means Russ, check for proper impedance between the two. You don't want any mismatching for that WILL affect sound quality big time. I've experienced that the M5 does miracles on a voice, but also has non-permanent output Z-resistance depending on what box you connect after the M5. If it's low-Z out (M5) and high-Z (LA4) in, your safe. If the impedances MATCH (around 600 ohms load) ... you start losing presence; connecting a LOWER-Z to the output of your M5 will make you wonder where your treble and upper tonal region have gone... acts like a high-cut filter... and you don't want that. It all seem to depend on whether you have an M5 with balanced transformer output or without...
No cautionary tale from a wise guy here, just 2 make shure you don't run into unforseen problems unfit for the kick-ass setup you chose to upgrade to

Edo
BTW Russ, changed an obvious mistake in my story
