I don't have personal experience with this, but I have heard that the rubber mats used to line the floors of horse trailers work well and are inexpensive. In my own booth, I have the floor covered with rubber squares that interlock like puzzle pieces. A package of those squares cost me less than $10 at Harbor Freight (I don't imagine they have any stores where you are) and are surprisingly comfortable. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Yes Lee, I searched for exactlly those interlocking squares here but to such luck !
When those kind of items do exist here they are still difficult to find not knowing exactly what they are called in Finnish. Went searching for "plumbers tape" today. Did a straight translation into Finnish. The place didn't have it. So I asked what is the correct translation for Plumbers Tape. he said, "plumbers tape"!
Would still love to find those interlocking exercise mat squares. _________________ www.scottsvoiceover.com - An American voice in Finland

Mac, remember to check alternatives in the other Scandinavian countries. Sweden and Denmark can have good products and options that Finland might not, with usually affordable and speedy shipping within the Nordic states. |

A more colorful version of those rubber "puzzle piece" mats is used on the floors of playrooms and other places where small children need to be protected from hard surfaces. Try a toy store or the baby department in a big box store. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Got a good one, thanks guys for the suggestions.
Don't know the brand name as it was not in a box. It must be some kind of anti-fatigue mat. It works for 3 issues.
1. It helps keep vibrations from being transferred To the mic !
2. It feels great!
3. It helps me to keep he same spot on the floor when going back and forth between the mic and the computer.
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions _________________ www.scottsvoiceover.com - An American voice in Finland

Get a pair of Dansko shoes. Alaska Airlines reimburses their flight attendants for buying them, and a LOT of nurses wear them.
Greatest shoes on Earth, especially if you are going to be on your feet all day. _________________ "The wise ones fashioned speech with their thought, sifting it as grain is sifted through a sieve." - Buddha

Some Danskos are really quite fun-stylish as well as super comfortable.

I love my Danskos. I wear them walking and have been doing so for over 20 years. I like them in the booth but I'm thinking of getting what my hubby has at his work station: http://www.upliftdesk.com/uplift-standing-desk-mat-18-x-30-x-3-4/ _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Wow! I thought Dansko's were kind of an Alaska thing. They're sort of the unofficial shoe up here, outside of Xtratuf rubber boots. Leave it to the ladies up here to find a way to make skirts, leggings and brown rubber boots fashionable!
EDIT: Merrell also makes a good slip on shoe that's very comfortable as well.
Re: mats .... it might be worth checking at a restaurant supply store. Those folks are on their feet and walking on those non-slip mats in kitchens all day. I found a pretty good rubberized/cushioned mat at Home Depot. _________________ "The wise ones fashioned speech with their thought, sifting it as grain is sifted through a sieve." - Buddha
