Most references to numbers on the VO-BB deal with words, pages, or are preceded by a $ sign. These numbers are considered statistics that I find interesting... and sometimes amusing. This time I noticed a loss of 205 registered users in the past year. I suspect a bit of house cleaning was done.
1418 registered users on VO-BB (as of December 11th, 2014)
869 users have posted 1 or more times (61.3%)
471 users have posted 10 or more times (33.2%)
273 users have posted 50 or more times (19.3%)
208 users have posted 100 or more times (14.7%)
088 users have posted 500 or more times (6.2%)
063 users have posted 1000 or more times (4.4%)
027 users have posted 2000 or more times (1.9%)
014 users have posted 3000 or more times (0.9%)
007 users have posted 5000 or more times (0.4%)
549 users have not posted (38.7%)
592 personal websites are listed on VO-BB. (41.7%)

Notice that this statement is not addressed to members only. Those who peruse the archives and decline to register are also included. I would suggest that if you have gained any knowledge while grazing through the VO-BB, or had an "I didn't know that!" moment... take advantage of the opportunity to express thanks with any affordable donation.

Couple things—
Yes, indeed— I did a substantial cull of "members" when I brought the board over to the new server. Any users who had registered before Jan 2013 and had NEVER posted were deleted.
And I thought about posting the plea for funds in CHAT, but opted for ENTRE NOUS instead— because I regarded this move and all the work involved as a Family Matter.
ENTRE NOUS is visible only to registered members of the board.
Non- registered perusers can't even see that the ENTRE NOUS forum is an option, same as with the WORK forum.
Upon seeing this message, though I may move the "fund drive" if only to see if any passers-by are inspired.
