VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

I've been dragging my feet a bit, so I still have more work to do to keep the external noise from entering my VO booth. I still need to caulk the seam between the roof and the walls, install the inner ceiling joists, and insulate between the ceiling and the roof, not to mention installing any of the drywall and Green Glue.

But today, there was a crew from the Public Works Department using a noisy machine right in front of my house. It was not only loud, but I could feel its vibration through the floor of the space I currently work in.

Since I couldn't record while they were working, I decided to conduct an experiment. I stepped inside my booth (which is 30 feet closer to the street than my current space) and closed the door. I could still hear the machine, although I'm not sure a mic would have picked it up, but I could no longer feel the vibration.
