Anyone tried reinstalling SC on a new ( just different, not all that new) computer? I've had a basic version of SC, which I was using as SC Desktop on my studio machine. Just replaced the machine, want to reinstall SC. Not so fast. Program doesn't want to see the ILok as valid (it is), then asks for Challenge/ Response with a bunch of nonsense words. I tried cutting and pasting, nothing. They want a response? Oh, I'm ready to give them a response, Alice! Bang, Zoom! (okay, fi that makes no sense, you're too young )
Anyway, I've deactivated, I've reactivated. And nothing works. Any thoughts, experience? |

"To the moon...Alice"
Assuming that they don't charge you an "arm and a leg"...maybe the next logical step is to contact SC directly? _________________ "I reserve the right to be completely wrong." |

I'm sure you've already done this but….did you try using a different USB port for the iLok? _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

Say what you will about what they charge for it, they've got great support over there at sE, and great support is expensive. Very glad you are back up and running with that 6 year old version of SC! Let's hope they don't have to break support of these legacy versions to advance the technology moving forward as they did when they went from V2 to V3. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Six years? Yeah, I guess, who's counting? In those six years, I've probably used it probably less than times..ISDN still my go-to technology. The irony is that as unusual as it is for me to use SC.. ..I needed to use it last night. |
