Okay, it's official. As of this morning, I have transportation and lodging booked. So please don't change the date or the location. Smile

I'm really looking forward to this!

Yay!
Can't wait! This is going to be great.
And I mean that in all seriousness.
Yes, seeing old friends will be great.
Being in NYC...always great.
Another session with Philip on how to think differently: Epic.
(Yes, I was lucky enough to spend 3 days in Portgordon this past summer....but a refresher is always good!)

It is going to be very VERY VERY silly.

I'm not saying who's going to be there but they are free to say so.

Including me I'm closing the door at 20 people so that means there are 2 places left.

This will be the first EVER course to produce fully Qualified Voiceoverists* who will leave with the official Qualified Voiceoverist* magic spell to cast over their businesses.

I estimate my profit from this one training course will be in the region of $11billion**

*All now probably ought to be registered trade marks but aren't.

**Based upon historic ENRON accounting principles

Occasionally over the past few years I have used the term "voiceoverist" to describe what I do. I have always felt a little awkward as I considered it the intellectual property of Portgordon Mega Productions and that I was using it without permission (legal term: copying).

Legitimizing the use of the "voiceoverist" epithet is worth the price of admission alone. To be able to call myself a Qualified Voiceoverist is just spiffy!

Do we get a badge? I want a badge.

Oh, I believe the badges question has been answered before in Treasure of the Sierra Madre:

Oh, Bruce, I'm laughing too hard. Both your picture and that clip.

Bruce... perfect use of a classic movie quote! Wink

However, not being a Brit, you obviously didn't grow up with Blue Peter.

We'll probably get a cabbage.*

This is all perfectly valid pre-course material. I have no doubt that there will be great big dollops of the surreal, skillfully mixed with lashings of absurdity.

* Not giving a jot for convention, I've mixed my Blue Peter with Crackerjack. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it.

Piece of trivia. As you'll see Agnetha from the group ABBA likes Border Collies. She still does as her and her partner shared their sandwiches with Bess and Jazz last summer while they had a picnic on Cullen beach.

Now on BBC1 it's time for Blue Peter .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhoBGfXIIEE
