|

As we've seen in another thread here it may always be good policy to wait to upgrade to the latest operating system. I've been holding off on updating my iPhone to iOS7 and I'm glad I did. My DW updated her 4S phone right away and now her WiFi circuitry is fried. According to her research on the web it's a growing problem that last we heard Apple was not yet acknowledging.
She also experienced the unsent messaging problem iOS7 had for the first few weeks.
I'm still waiting to upgrade.
Being first on the block ain't always what it's cracked up to be.

There's also the "embedded videos from YouTube" don't play problem. Currently both Youtube and Apple are pointing the finger at each other, or HTML5. I updated my devices and that's the only problem so far. (crosses fingers). _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |

had a couple of tense moments with the Mac OS 10.9/Mavericks free upgrade
(had to update Apogee software and Twisted Wave gave me error messages for a short time)
but now we're sailing along (and moving at a better clip too) |

I'm half tempted to just jump onboard. I use imessage on my ipad all the time, and the ability to do that on the computer would really be nice. We'll see if anyone else guinea pigs with positive outcome |

Since we don't get upgrades like 'Snow Leopard' and 'Rain Weasel', we have to chime in where we can. We have keyboards too ya know. Us PC people are not just 'Monkeys on a Rock', which BTW, I understand is the next Mac upgrade. _________________ Never do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the Paramedics

Hi all,
Some ios bug fixes addressed on the newly released 7.0.3. I had no problems diving in and migrating my iphone 5 up to 7.0 and then figured what the heck, toss in the bug(s) fix too. Maybe I've been one of the lucky ones.

Hey guys... how's the "Kit-Kat" sponsored Android upgrade going?
(glass houses, stones, yada, yada, yada...)
Seriously though... whatever system you're using, immediately upgrading any piece of mission-critical equipment is fraught with pitfalls. The third version is always safer. _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

Actually, Bish... KitKat hasn't arrived quite yet. We expect the announcement later this week.
Jellybean, on the other hand, is stable and buttery smooth... At version 4.3.2
Like any new OS, it, too, had it's teething problems....
Which is why I concur... For mission critical applications, don't be a guinea pig. _________________ Don Brookshire

Follow-up: Verizon is shipping a new replacement iPhone to Emma under warranty. But will it have the same problems? We shall see.
They are also sending someone out to our house to measure signal reception and see if anything can be fixed. It's really poor here and we're less than two blocks from one cell tower and 6 blocks from another
