I learned yesterday that there are some programs for decompressing a compressed file (RAR) but I've not done this and wonder if anyone has suggestions, warnings, etc.
Thanks. _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

WinRAR is an excellent program...it decompresses almost any kind of compression format. zip, rar. ace etc... _________________ TG2

Thank you, friend. That's what I wanted to hear (read), as that's what I was checking out yesterday... _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

Diane,
Assuming the file that's compressed is a RAR file, and assuming you're using a Windows PC, then WinRAR is probably your best bet for the job. It has the benefit of handling of nearly any kind of compression type.
There are versions from the same company that work with Mac OSX and with Linux (and Pocket PC, FreeBSD and MS-DOS) as well. _________________ Be well,
