Dead links.

Audio that isn't there anymore.
Video that no longer exists.
Photos that have been removed.
Websites long abandoned.

I supposed it's a bi-product of having been around for so long that things change.

BUT...being a relative NOOB here, I find it useful to read thorough the Archives. Some very knowledgeable people have been very generous in sharing their knowledge here. But, I admit to some frustration with all of the "take a look at this" or "listen here" LINKS...that when clicked...lead only to a dead end.

This is not a criticism. Simply an observation.

It won't be long before you start getting answers back in the form of riddles...

That's already happened...sort of..

Earlier, I received a couple of comments about what I suspect are "inside jokes" that only those who have been here a long time understand. Something about a small furry animal...with a name that now escapes me. Laugh

That's it!

Not only did I forget their name...I forgot their size as well.

(I stand corrected)

Sorry about the dead links. It quite often happens when people change their hosting, and migrate all their stuff to a new server.

Sometimes you can see the name of the contents if you right-click the broken link. You might be able to find the content online by putting the last part of the file string in quotes in a Google search.

Sorry for the frustration and inside jokery. This party welcomes all, but it HAS been in progress since fall of 2004, so there are bound to be some grooves to step over until you're happy to step right in.

The technical name is llama guano. Try saying it out loud. It rolls off the tongue quite nicely. The words, that is.

Now question about it -- this is a pretty groovy place!
