|

All of you tech savvy people.....a quick question. If your computer is set up with USB2 ports and Firewire 400 and firewire 800 ports.....can you run devices of all these different things simultaneously? For instance....I have a USB2 external hard drive connected....can I also run a Firewire 400 device and a firewire 800 device at the same time as I am running the USB2 device?
Thanks for any help you can provide on this. _________________ TG2

Thank You Frank! I appreciate it. I thought I had read in another post a while back that you cannot run USB and Firewire at the same time, but I wasn't sure......I looked, but couldn't find the post. Thanks again. _________________ TG2

To echo Frank-- yeah, hell yeah.
Firewire and USB are completely different busses, and FW 400 and 800 are separate, too, I bleeb.
I've got a G4 laptop and there are times where I've got every port in use and it's just as happy as a clam in mud. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

Reminds me...I was writing a polical spot the other day, talking about a Congressman's vote for the Medicare Prescription plan, and how it had made the pharmaceutical companies "as happy as Pigs on Prozac."
They vetoed the line. Oh well. No guts, no glory.

Thank you one and all. I don't know why I thought you couldn't. I thought one overrides the other or some such nonsense. I thought I had read it in a post, but can't find the post now......I'm either imagining things or I misunderstood what I had read. Anyway...thank you everyone for responding. _________________ TG2
