Gary,

You said it best on your web site:

"It doesn't matter if you call it a voice over, voice-over, or voiceover, with our reasonable rates and willingness to work with you until you are satisfied, the best choice for your project is Gary"

Google those three terms plus "voice talent", "announcer", etc. and see how many total sites Google comes up with and how many of the sites are appropriate to what you want to do and you'll come up with your answer.

It's proven time and again, ask 1,000 people off the street how many beans there are in a glass jar full of beans, and their answers will be all over the map, but the average of their answers will be amazingly close to the actual count.

I was just trying to play nice with the web bots. I noticed Peter O'Connell has done something similar on his web site.

I think I tend to use "Vocie-Over", but have used them all (as I'm sure everyone here has)

I stick those terms in the header info.

Do search engines pay attention to header info any more?

I think it's not as important as it used to be. I'm sure someone more web/tach savvy than me might know why...

I believe Tom is correct. I think Google regularly changes their formula for page rankings, etc to combat abuses.

I was just wondering what people default to when they list thier occupation.

You know... stupid banter that doesn't really matter.

One word. Lower case "v" in print. Aesthetically more pleasing to my eye. Two words and that hypen make me think of eggs. Well. What doesn't, really? But, yes. We must speak to all search options with our meta tags, et al. Signature shall be altered to reflect opinion. Ah. La dona e mobile.

Oh heavens! Such timing. That was the decision of the week. For the last 5 years, I've been using voiceover, but since working on my website I decided voice-over looked better. And since I just ordered new business cards, voice-over it is. I'm a "Voice-over Artist."

"Voice actor" suits my fellow board members with their many character voices & animation work.

But I, too, put all the variations in the tags, just in case.

All of my dictionaries spell it voice-over, but I've always spelled it voiceover.

Voice Actor when trying to explain what I do.

I've always avoided Voice Talent because of the implication that I actually have some Smile

My business card and my new not-yet-published website has me down as Professional Voice.

I've tended to use "voiceover", moreso the last few years as the the term "voice-over-IP" has jostled with our nomenclature for position in the search-engine results.

Plus, I like it aesthetically.
