...Day.
Contact.
I feel like I've arrived, and I GOTTA share.
Y'know -- you all ARE my Voice-over inspiration.
I've listened, promoted, practiced, marketed, followed-up, been patient and persisted.
Today, my first out-of-the-blue, honest-to-goodness, self-enterprised, independent voice-over job. It's only a podcast narration. But it's a giant step for Courvo-kind.
I'm not going to give up news-anchoring yet, but you coulda picked me off the ceiling when the call came from NY this morning and woke me up. Half-hour later -- product safely delivered....and I was still in my pajamas!
Thank you everyone!

It's not ONLY a podcast narration - it's a VO job that you attracted and is only a sign of more to come.

Hey, congrats!
I'm in the same boat. I got a call yesterday afternoon from a production house informing me of my first booking ever: a radio spot for a university. The session is later this morning. I didn't even have to audition. They picked me based on my demo. This is a great day!

Congratulations Dave!... and I thought the only person that made money while wearing pajamas was Hugh Hefner.

First?! I thought you'd been doing VO on the side for years and years.
OK, so now you start doing VO on the side for years and years.

Couldn't be more delighted and you can call me Susan if it isn't so! I'm looking forward to the post reporting your 1,000th job. May it arrive sooner than you think. |
