The 7506's. I bought a pair with my very first full time radio paycheck way back when. They lasted 10 years before I bought another set. I still have the "new" cans too.

I got a new pair of AKG K44 cans from an ebay vendor for $39 (which includes shipping). I've heard good things (no pun intended) about them and being on a very tight budget until I make my millions in vo they seemed like a good thing to try.

I've had some expensive headphones and some really cheap ones. My choice for basic editing when I'm not in the studio with monitors has been the Sony MDR-CD280. They are closed cans, but feel sooooo good I forget I'm wearing them... Sometimes I put them on just to be in my own little world and a few hours later I'll hear my wife say something... Not bad for the 20-30 bucks I paid for them.

I concur with Marko.... sound great, dependable... a little pricey....but they last.

And I agree with both Marko and Dave. It's what I use all the time.
