here's one from my daytime job. Aripiprazole (the chemical name for the drug Seroquel).
I'm not even sure of the correct pronounciation. _________________ Christopher G. French

"Cellular" is like "digital imaging".
Start with an over-big smile.
I once had an ongoing vo-account with a cel phone service because I was the only one around who could pronounce "cellular" properly and without agony. _________________ DBCooperVO.com |

Otolaryngology.
I was on a jury once, and the defense brought in a guy (a lawyer) to read a deposition that had been given by an otolaryngologist. This lawyer reading the deposition was a typical South Side Chicago guy (think of the "Da Bears" sketches from Saturday Night Live); the otolaryngologist who had given the deposition was from Iraq.
The guy could not pronounce "otolaryngology." Just could not do it. He tried and tried and tried. Eventually, even the judge was laughing at him.
Another highlight was when he was asked where he studied. In his South Side accent, he said, in all seriousness, "Da Yoonaversity a' Baigdad."
At times it was difficult to remember to give the testimony the credibility it deserved. |

I may have to take the pot with Esophagogastroduodenoscopy.
This was for an on-camera narration a few years back. I never cussed
so much in front of a client in my life. |
