Looking for announcer-type voice over artist (CHICAGO)

Popular radio/video show looking for voice over talent with "announcer-type" voice to do short voice over recordings for our show on an on-going basis. Must have professional recording equipment and the ability to record out of your home/office.
Voice-overs would be short, easy to do one-liners, such as "You're listening to....," "call us now!," etc.
I would send you the very short scripts, and I would need you to send me the recordings exported as .wav files. No editing required. Just the raw voice is all I need!
This would be an unpaid gig, however, your voice would the official voice of our show, with hundreds of thousands of people hearing it every month! Might be good for a demo reel, etc, and could very well land you some paid work in the future.
Please email me with samples of your voice if interested. Information about our program will be given to you upon email. For confidentiality purposes, we do not release info about our show over Craiglsist, in order to keep our upcoming projects "secret."

Wow, all that exposure for one lucky voice guy! I thought they were going to ask the talent to pay them, which by the way would be well worth it for someone trying to build a voice over business. _________________ j.s. gilbert

I'm still hung up on a "radio/video show". Is that something new, or am I in the dark by myself? _________________ "Bailey"

This one was for a sound recordist. I guess their offer for the Trailer/VO
will follow.
NO PAY. ENTHUSIASM and DEPENDABILITY a must!
Need a production sound recordist / boom operator with some experience. Need not own equipment as we have our own. NO PAY. Will work on several projects during the months of May and June. ENTHUSIASM and DEPENDABILITY a must. If you commit to a date, then you need to honor that date.
If work is acceptable then glowing references will be given. If we work well together, then more a permanent position will be ... |

See that crap around here all the time. Invariably, it'll be followed by a disgruntled post calling them out on their cheap-a$$ hustle of hardworking professionals who have to lug their expensive equipment around for no pay.
And the radio/video show? Some unemployed dudes with a logitech camera on the desktop, crowding into the badly lit shot to offer their brand of bawdy humor, fratboy cameraderie, and obscure musical taste to the world....over dialup.
Then again, it could be ManCow. _________________ Don Brookshire

... and whatever the lucky "selectee" does, they'll inevitably want re-dos and whine about how it needs more cowbell. _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |

I read that The Bruce Dickenson does a mean impression of Christopher Walken.*

And today.....
Hello! We are seeking a few different voice over talents specifically those fluent in other languages. The voice overs will be for several hour long DVDs which have already been translated.
Currently, we need: a fluent German male speaker, a fluent French male speaker, and a Spanish female speaker. We would like to get recorded samples from each talent before scheduling the recording, so those who send samples will get first priority. The job pays $75/hr and the DVDs should take a little over an hour to record each.
