I'm sure they're lovely people, but the presentation style was too, too.... well just too much gush for me. I bailed long before any guest could make it on.

The video opened with an ad, so I clicked away. But I just think Chuck Duran is the bees knees. He's an outstanding audio producer here in L.A. Smile

I enjoyed both episodes so far (2 parter with the same guest).

The expression "The Bee's Knees" comes from the fact that bee's store pollen in these hairy baskets on their knees. They have hairs on their knees which are used to collect a big build-up of pollen. So, this could look like something very big and spectacular, hence the expression.

On a side note, if you check out Chuck and Jess' band....they're a real hoot...and Jess does a damned fine Steve Perry impersonation.

CC, thanks for sharing. It's funny because I had just watched both of the Jess Harnell shows prior to seeing your link.

For those who might be curious, go into it with these points in mind:

Chuck Duran (the host) is an 80s rocker and renowned demo producer and he just loves everything about that period of time in Rock-n-Roll. After all, even his website is called "Demos that ROCK!"

He's got long hair, cheetah print hats and velvet in his studio. If you can come to terms with that, he's just a fun guy that is using what he loves to promote his business and band.

Now, if you just happen to be able to get past the intro to the actual guest speaker, what Jess Harnell shared in the first two episodes really moved me. I was really inspired by his story and insights and I just loved what he brought to the fore.

Not to mention, I love 80s rock and I dig what his band RockSugar is doing with their mashups: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mr4HffbAUTk Okay, so technically, I mentioned it. Smile
