I'm sure this is nothing to most of you, but for me.....woohoo.....
So the other day I'm at work and getting ready to shut down for the day....I decide to check my personal email real quick before I shut down......what is in my inbox waiting for me? An email from the commercial producer for the NBC affiliate in Little Rock Arkansas! Picked me out of a shortlist of talent he had compiled for a tv commercial done in a documentary style. Said he needed a deep smooth delivery and my voice was smoother and kinder than most "hard edge" documentary voices. So, I got the script and delivered the file to him last night, and got a call from him this morning saying he got it and it sounded real good....he really liked it......no revisions or anything! This was totally out of the blue....I never auditioned or anything.....he just found me and that was it. Anyway....I'm really excited......I've auditioned for so many things usually small time independent stuff and never hear anything back....and then I get contacted out of the blue by an NBC commercial
producer to do a tv spot. He said he'd be contacting me for more work.
I think I'll celebrate! hahahahaha _________________ TG2

Thank You guys! I couldn't contain it....I had to share my excitement. I asked him if I could get a copy of the file after it has been produced and he said no problem. It's actually a 2 person spot. The first half is the voice over (me), setting the mood, and then a guy comes on camera and introduces himself and gives the actual commercial for the 2nd half. Anyway, the guy from NBC said he would give me the actual whole produced video spot. I can extract the audio if I want.....He actually gave me the choice of audio only or the whole spot, video/audio, I chose the latter. Thanks again everyone.

Hey TGG. Congrats and yes that is awesome. I just recently did a few jobs that gave me an over $600 week!! Unheard for me at this point with the little time that I have to devote to marketing myself. But when that cell phone rings and it's a producer on the other end saying my voice is wanted......it's ....it's.....it's breathtaking..lol. way to go dude!

Wow! Thank you guys! I didn't expect so much support! Most of you are well established and doing big time stuff, but for me just getting started really.....it IS a big deal. I like winning auditions, but when someone just finds YOU out of the thousands they could find, AND it's an NBC commercial producer, it's like HOLY COW! hahahahaha I really appreciate it everyone....thanks! _________________ TG2

Congrats - nothing better than not having to audition for work THEN be able to add a recognizable name to your resumé. Way to go!
