Deebs - is there anyway to tell the board to go to the second page if that is where you have been reading new posts? If there are still new posts - default to the page with the new posts when you click on CHAT? Something like that?
I have been so busy that by the time I got to VO-BB today, there were two pages of new posts and while I was on the 2nd page of the new posts, each time I clicked to read the next new post, it threw me back to the first page of now "read" posts. Or is there a way to do this that I don't know about.
Busy doesn't describe it. Old clients, new clients, old clients with new ongoing projects. Rush jobs. Random 60 cycle hum in my system requiring hooking up my laptop studio. Teaching my voiceover acting class - ongoing house & garage remodels - dogs and cats living together.
I had a repeat client from India call me this week with a request to re-do a project. Really nice guys. Anyway, the end client wanted a more peppy, more modulated, more marketing read to the project...oh yes, we also rewrote the script to be about half as long. I have provided script reworking for them in the past, as they are not native English speakers, but are marketing to an English speaking audience. This particular script reqired some script tweaks the first time around, but only for basic readbility - we didn't discuss overall content, approach or length as they needed it done immediately.
Anyway, I always provide a reread for interpretation, if I am seld-directing, but if the script is changed, that's a new session.
I listened to the previous tracks and they were in fact well "modulated", so I wrote a gracious letter telling them that the new script was much better than the last and certainly more marketing in approach - and the price would be...including the rush charges because they also wanted it by the end of the week. (I was in the middle of a new 400 prompt ordering system for a Chinese restaurant - and a new IVR legal system for AARP.)
All this is why I haven't been able to read the board in a timely fashion and am getting two pages of new posts. _________________ Playing for a living...
