A Mac!

Love these ads:
http://www.apple.com/getamac/ads/

love the fact that the guy playing "A PC" looks so much like a certain MS-founder-dude!

That guy is a riot on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central. He's on about once a week doing commentary. He says the most outrageous things in a very dry delivery. Very reminiscent of Wally Cox (only us older dudes will catch that reference). I've really enjoyed the other actor too since his days on "Ed".

It is a BRILLIANT campaign.

I may have PC tatooed on my big fat ass, however these commercials are absolutely hilarious!!! There's another one running here in Canada right now and every time I see it I laugh my ass off!

I have to give it to the marketing geniuses working for apple, they certainly do have a good thing going... even if my new PC rig will kick any Mac's butt!

Keep the funnies coming.

Cheers,

That clip is so funny and I do enjoy that ad campaign, although they have yet to refer to the frequency with which Macs bomb. I'm sure they're working on it though Sticking out Tongue

Doc, I will not admit to watching Mr. Peepers, Pinky Lee, Kukla Fran and Ollie, Princess Winterspring Summerfall, Tom Terrific, or to lusting after Annette Funicello. Never happened.

Bruce, you're not thinking of Lewis Black, are you? Lewis is very funny, and well worth checking out his HBO specials, but that's not him in the Mac ads. I can see the similarity, though.

No, I mean the guy on the Mac ads:

Lewis Black is a whole other kind of hilarious. John Hodgman is starting to get around. Here's a link to him at Wikipedia:

Ah...shows you what I know. Didn't mean to be presumptuous. Smile I stand (sit/crouch/lean) corrected. I hadn't seen Hodgman before. Thanks for the link.

I'm actually in the market for a Mac with wi-fi and OS-X. Anyone upgrading to a G5 and want to sell a G4 with an airport card?

Hi Connie,

I don't have a spare Mac to sell (still have the ole G3 as the main workhorse...and a new iMac G5 intel machine I'm getting aquainted with) but if I were in the market for a used machine (apart from a personal source) I would be in touch with Mac-Resource here in Texas. http://www.mac-resource.com/store.php?cat=powermacs Even if you choose not to do business with them their listings will give you an excellent idea of the going rate for used macs of all types.

Incidentally, A G4 is listed at $239 and you can add an airport card etc if you wish. Happy shopping.
