I'm not sure where the CST thread is...but I seem to have a problem today with words ending in "ts"... Shocked

tests, boats, feats, tastes, constraints. Any suggestions on how to get that old tongue from "t" to "s"? Sometimes it comes out sounding like "tez" instead of test-s. How much emphasis do you put on the "t", or do you just lightly tap on it and move on more heavily to the "s".

That's (thaz) Gasp it from me...

First try saying the single version of the word clearly several times in a row:

that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that, that

Then try to add the sss at the end. I noticed when I say "that's" I have to smile a bit, or lift my cheeks out of the way, while I don't have to when I just say "that" or "thaz".

Thaz all folks,

B

+1 on Bruce's getting your cheeks out of the way. Sometimes I need to make a huge grin at the end of words like these.
