set up is in previous post
UB 502 Dynamic Mic (not relevant)
stereo feed into line in Sound Blaster Live24
Windows control panel will allow me to test that SB is working... it is (Ran a hardware check to prove it)
Audacity will not pick up SB Card Feed (Input selector is working) and preferences Audio I/O recording is set for SB 24 ( Playback is set for Motherboard Sound Card as I am using them to monitor
ANy thoughts?
Thanks Pat |

Well... see what happens when you assume?
No, I mean the volume control. If you have a small speaker icon in your taskbar, double-click it. If not, Start>All Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>Volume Control |

Go to Control Panel, click on Sounds and Audio Devices.
Make sure the device is your SoundBlaster.
Make sure the playback volume is up AND NOT MUTED.
Go to Sound Recording and make sure the recording volume is up AND NOT MUTED.
Are you hearing any of the usual system sounds, like the new age music when you power up?
If your audio editing program is not seeing your SoundBlaster, make sure the program is actually compatible with your SoundBlaster. If yes, install the latest SoundBlaster audio driver (Google SoundBlaster driver). |
