Seriously? 17 finished hours? I'd hate to calculate the hourly wage for this |
Unfortunately, I did...
His read time estimate is a tad low, I'd say nearer to 18+ hours (but that's academic), but using a 4:1 ratio, that's around 70 hours. So, what depresses you more? $175 a week, or $5 per hour
But wait... he's posting more wonderful opportunities!
I like no-brainer deletes _________________ Bish a.k.a. Bish

The most generously compensated audiobook I have ever done, at $375 per finished hour, was contracted directly with the self-publishing author who first tried recording it himself, paying for studio time. He discovered how much work is involved first hand. _________________ Diane

I know! Quick delete for sure...though out of curiosity I'm keeping it around to see how many auditions he gets. He's up to 10 so far! _________________ Adam

The same dude posted another book, this one "only" 160,000 words. He was offering 50 bucks for that one -- despite posting in a "$100-250" lead. There was a time when Voices.com had each lead vetted by a real human so such infractions were not allowed to pass. Now, I guess, they put the place on auto-pilot when there are no humans available to screen the leads. That also partially explains the instances in which the same job gets posted 2, 3, or 4 times in succession (I've seen as many as 8 duplicates). _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.
