3 questions for my sagely colleagues:
1. I need to quote a price to do some
voice prompts. Here's what I'd be initially asked to do:
37 one-liners like - "One Moment Please" and "Please Say or Enter Your 4
Digit Pin"
9 two-liners
5 long paragraphs (8-12 sentences)
So, it's a total of 51 separately named files I'd convert to 8000hz, Ulaw,
8bit wave.
There would be 5-10 additional small phrases and 3-5 paragraphs in the
future. The application would be used on cell phones and is a new
technology, so it's not for a doctor's office or a locoal company. Any
thoughts you have on the industry standard for such a job are greatly
appreciated. I'm in the dark on this.
2. Is there a standard release to give the company allowing them to use my voice? Conversly, something I should ask from them agreeing to the work?
3. Is there a preferred method of payment? Invoicing vs. PayPal; also a timeline -- anything upfront?
Thanks for the help!
