Hi All,

I am looking for a wall mount with a swing arm to hold my scripts when I am reading. I'd like it to adjust so I can read sitting or standing. Currently I'm using a music stand, but that's cumbersome and I'd like to get rid of it. I'm looking for something that's adjustable and won't get in the way when I'm gesturing and moving about. What do you use? Thanks in advance for your help.

Kathy

Yep - I'd like to find something like this too. I'd like to have something other than what I use now, and I fear I'm going to have to invent something that combines the top of the music stand (but is not as bulky) and a swing arm from a mic stand...
I'd like to know what others use...and if you've found something like what we've described...

I know they exist because I remember seeing them in the office supply catalog we had at my old job. Search for swing arm document stands, or some variation on that theme. But they are out there!

I always liked Gary Owens' copy holder.

But this one is pretty swell too.

I found some at a company called Tarifold by searching for swing arm document stands, just as Pam suggested. Thanks!

I used to be a professional typesetter back in the days of optomechanical setters. I often wish I could find a copyboard like the one on my old CompuGraphic. Solid steel, must have weighed 30 pounds, with a heavy clamp that would hold an encyclopedia open and in position.

These days all I can find are cheap plastic things that can hold a few sheets of paper.

Ack!...I'm a paperless studio...haven't used my printer in weeks....and then only to print out a letter I was sending.

Position your monitor so you can see it like you would your copy-holder. You can bold, hilite, enlarge, and otherwise manipulate the words.

I can usually find someone on voices.com who is willing to hold my copy for me for $17.50 per hour and sometimes less. Some of the shorter voice talent work well because I can place my water glass on thier head, thus getting even further value.
