Hey guys, been a while since I posted something here, but now I could really use your help!
I've had S-C Standard for nearly a year without using it even once for a real gig. That's okay, I made the investment at a time when I had the money and I'm still hoping it will serve me well... someday. And maybe it will, 'cause this week I got my first inquiry for an S-C session - yay!
Now here's the problem. When I originally installed it there was a problem loading the .dll-files from the correct folder on my PC. I had a support session with Vas of Source Elements and we fixed it by placing a folder on the PC desktop, but this way, everytime I want to use S-C I had to "tell" S-C Desktop where the files where located by pressing "3", and then it would work. But now, it doesn't. When I click "Show: [source-connect]" in the S-C Desktop application, nothing happens. Nada.
Since it's been more than 6 months since my purchase I need to pay for further support - argh! - so I kinda hoped someone here maybe had experienced similar problems and solved them somehow....? I really don't want to tell the client that I can't get the damn thing to work and risk losing the gig Besides, no fun at all having S-C if I can't use it!
Any ideas, anyone? George? _________________ Regards,

It's been a quite a long time since I've had to deal with a Windows SC bug like this one, Jacob. I don't know the resolution to the problem, but good news is there is a beta release of the software which will replace SE Desktop coming around the bend. If you can't wait I recommend using SC Standard VST with Reaper instead of Desktop. Even Source Elements has been recommending it over their own Desktop client for a while now. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
