Very astute.
It's the 40th floor outside balcony of the Mandalay on New Year's Eve. The Foundation Club. Believe me, it's the only time I'll ever be there. What? a $50,000 buy-in, then $5,000/mo? But it's a helluva view of the strip, and a pretty good assignment for the festivities, as I got to avoid all the drunken rabble on street-level.

It's just that.....the very second the fireworks are over, everybody -- all 300,000 of them -- decide to leave at the same time, and they become like rats trying to escape the coals...climbing up over and on anything and everything to get out -- including camera crews and live reporters. I can do without that -- again.
