Well I watched the "Marketing Yourself in Voice Over" DVD which is actually a class that was video taped from her studios in CA. My thoughts on it were that it was pretty informative when it comes to presenting yourself to agencies, talent reps, clients etc. Some helpful tips on how to showcase yourself and your talents in a quick 60 second phone call to a potential client. Things I probably wouldn't have thought about at all. Lots of good info and I think it was just over an hour in length..... but probably not worth the 40 bucks I paid for it. Maybe 20 bucks but not 40. Then again it's a DVD.

yeah, Glenn. I've read, watched, and listened to so much VO stuff that I've come to the realization that there really isn't a KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF how-to (market, voice, etc.) VO product out there UNLESS it was put together by someone who works YOUR specific market. Even the differences in approach that everyone here has, is due in large part to their location. I agree about the $40 bucks, but hey - if it has a high replay score then why not? We pay $20 or less for movies and usually only play it once... maybe twice.

If you go out armed with this "new" information and get a gig that pays, say, $250, I would think it's worth the $40 you plunked down for it. Plus, there's a chance that you might watch it later and pick up on something you either missed before or could relate to differently than the first time you watched it. That's happened to me with the CD from Mr. Alburger's book. _________________ Greg Littlefield
