|
|
The “Micro” Studio, I say micro due to the fact that the Computer being used is a NETBOOK, and not the typical Notebook that is used for remote Studio work.
The Equipment in the bag is as follows.
1. MSI L1300 Netbook with 2Gb Memory and 160gig HD.
2. Steinburg WaveLab 6 DAE (Software)
3. Sennheiser MKH 416 T ( 12v powered)
4. PSC 48PH/12T Converter to convert Phantom power 48V to 12V.
5. MicPort Pro Samples to 96khz, Analog to Digital Converter
6. Blue “Berry” Mic Cable
7. USB Cable
8. iLok Key
I could tote around my mBox2, but that would not be as compact, keep in mind that the Bag is like a mini computer case, not even a full sized case.
I have Photos and an audio sample on my Blog at:
http://brbvo.wordpress.com/2010/09/30/netbook-portable-studio-in-a-bag/
Pleaselet me know your thougts on what I can do to make it more compact!!! _________________ -----

mic stands? Right Hand...
copy holders? Left Hand...
headphones? Ears!
mini speakers? Built into the Computer!
Excellent Points, in fact I spent the day Setting the Waves Processors that I use, by using the Studio Monitors, all settings are set to what would be out of the Studio reference monitors. The 416 has lo-or-no self noise, I can hold it by hand and have total silence, but jam it into the visor when recording in a Car! (Do not try this while driving).
P.S. I am saving up for the Sennheiser $ 200.00 Ear Buds! _________________ -----

probably shouldn't be giving away my secret weapons, but for Protools try the Massey set...compressor, and eq......and 2007 Limiter.....very nice
you can download fully functional demos for free...unlimited usage...only limitation is not being able to save settings. |

that copy stand ROCKS...does that fold up?
I lust after that little orbit speaker.... I love Altec Lansing stuff.... that might solve the problem of trying to hear stuff back from my crappy little speakers in my Dell Netbook... and also solve the problem of hearing static and crackling out of the outboard audio port when connected to speakers via the 1/8" mini plug |

yeah - folds up to almost nothing - i got the little "copy stand" at an even littler book store - it's a travel book stand - and the altec lansing speaker wasn't expensive - $30 at staples ... yeah - i was surprised too! _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis
