The inner workings of VO have been getting more media attention of late, even if only at the regional level. Here's the latest find:

There's the usual moaning about celeb VO work, but then there's this gem:
Quote: | Here's the assignment. We want you to be a turkey that does impressions - you know, Jack Nicholson, Jimmy Stewart, Robin Leach, Bob Dylan - but all you can say is "gobble, gobble." |
I think they may have stolen Banksey's thunder for the next "Your Take" segment... _________________ Great Voice. Great Choice. For Voice Talking and stuff.

| Thanks for the story Dave.
It never ceases to amaze me... once you're in the mix of a trade, occupation or hobby... there seems to be stories all over the media about your job.
I wonder if street corner/sign twirlers are having the same problem.
Perhaps we'll read about the organization called POST... Professional Organization of Sign Twirlers. Where members compete for busy street corners... and are paid outrageous rates dependent upon the antics they perform for passers-by. What once started out as a mundane $10 per hour gig, has worked into a $40 to $50 per hour media event! _________________ "Bailey"

I understand it has to do with "cells of recognition" in the brain. They become sensitive to a specific frequency and you find that frequency wherever you look. Like when you buy a new car and suddenly you see them everywhere! _________________ Joe Rodriguez, Bilingual Voice Actor | The Voiceover Thespian Blog |
