It's the hockey playoffs....show up or go home!
You are expected to wear your colors at least until you are eliminated.
Which will include all of you who aren't Sabres fans.
Oh yeah...if your team didn't make the playoffs...you don't get to play!
Game on hosers! _________________ - Peter

Back in my younger days, I was a huge Florida Panthers fan. I was a bit of a hockey 'ho.
Haven't been to a game in over 12 years. Haven't even watched on the tay-vay.
Good luck to all your teams!! _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!

Ach, Lizden...I'm actually a bit of a Devs fan (Langenbrunner is my favorite player in hockey and I really like Clarkson, White, etc...)
But I just can't root for y'all after what Kovalchuk did to us in Atlanta. He repeatedly said to the US and Russian press that he wanted to retire as a Thrasher and then never budged from demanding maximum salary. He was offered the second highest contract in history and turned it down (102m for 12 years). More importantly, if y'all lose to Philly that first pick we got from you is more valuable.
Still, we're talking about beating the Flyers here...GO DEVILS!!!
I'm pulling for the Yotes, Nucks, Sens, and Preds for the first round at least. _________________ Skype: globalvoiceover

Eddie,
You are lucky to be able to root for Buffalo-boy Patrick Kane and his playoff mullet...yes, he's a little young for a playoff beard...
I had the chance to display mine recently on my blog - where I also predicted Buffalo to beat Boston in 6 games.
BBruising BBattle in BBeantown between BBoston & BBuffalo yesterday saw Tuukka Rask make a name for
himself in net and put the Bruins up two games to one. Yikes!
Out west I support the Vancouver Canucks (third seed) but I predicted they will lose to the Los Angeles Kings
(sixth seed) in the opening round. Phoenix leads Detroit 2 games to 1 BUT that's because they have another
Buffalo-boy, Lee Stempniak.
Pro hockey left Atlanta once before for Calgary Lance - and I think with all the empty seats in Atlanta, it is only
a matter of time before the team leaves town again...sorry _________________ Ralph Hass

OK...Lance you really made me laugh!
When Jamie came over from Dallas, it was a big deal. And so whenever he did anything right, the local press kept running a clip from a young female Dallas fan saying "Jaime, he's my FAVORITE!" in a real southern drawl...it was hysterical....and for the first couple of years was everywhere. Not so much anymore, but your statement brought me right back!
I grew up Rangers fan (yes I CHEERED after the 40 year drought!), but after all the crap that Avery & Torts pulled over the last couple of years (Especially Sean with what he pulled in the Goal crease), I said ENOUGH!

Hey Ralph,
I had the good fortune to go to many Hawks games when I lived there. in the late 80s and early 90s. My record was 32-2-2 attending live games. Eddie "The Eagle" Belfour was always in goal when I went too except the 2 odd games they actually lost while I was in attendance. I think management should have given me free tickets to come to home games with that record. I actually had a buddy that had season ticketz and we'd go to games a lot. |
