I found a book titled How To Read Copy, by Adrian Cronauer. I got the book used. Apparently it came with an audio tape. Yes I said TAPE. I was wondering in any other VO-BBers would know where I might locate an affordable copy of that tape, or maybe a website with the audio in MP3 format.

any help is appreciated.

thanks

I have that book - and the tape. Copyright 1990. I have no idea if it will even play anymore! I'll pop it into car cassette machine and see if it plays.

Wow, I looked on Amazon - $72 for a new copy! Yipe!

And, yes, it is the DJ from Good Morning Vietnam. Well, that was actually Robin Williams, but yes...

yeah it is an old book. I got a used copy for about 10 bucks, no where near the 71 dollar price. there even a more expensive copy with the tape, but I was not shelling out 161 bucks.

If that tape works do you think you can duplicate it and send me a copy? that would be cool. i would cover whatever reasonable expenses you may incur.

I've got that book and the tape as well, but I seriously doubt you want to hear that tape. It's a dated style of delivery.

Good book

I would love to have a copy of the tape. Dated or not.

ABE Books is one of the best sources for used books out there. Thousands of booksellers work through them. You can find copies of this one as low as $18.94:

http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?an=adrian+cronauer&sts=t&tn=How+to+read+copy&x=66&y=12

None of the listings mention the tape so it would be worth contacting the shop that has a copy you're interested in to be sure the tape is included.

I listened to the tape yesterday and unless you are storing it for archival purposes only, don't waste your time or money trying to find it.

I was mostly looking for the tape and wanting to hear it just for the fun of it. THe effort needed to get the tape is startign to out weigh the curiosity.

I know two guys who were stationed (literally) with Cronauer in Viet Nam.
