A puppeteer… more specifically a Muppeteer. 20 years ago I had a chance to try a Fraggle… a REAL Fraggle! It was only for about 5 minutes at a workshop in Salt Lake City presented by one of the members of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop... but it was magical! (The world misses you Jim)

My dream in high school was to be a doctor/researcher and develop robotic hands for amputees (this was years before Star Wars et al.) and I still have that fantasy. Radio got in the way of that dream.
I really enjoyed producing theater: bringing the scripts, directors, actors, facility, lighting, effects, publicity and audience together for a great time. Tripling or quadrupling the revenue would have made it just about ideal.
I love being on camera, but the sitting and waiting between shots, especially on movies is just deadly dull sometimes.
So, I enjoy some of the finest features of all of these jobs producing audio in my home studio, pretty much on my own schedule.
Yep, this job is fine.

I don't get it. I thought soapoperas was spanish for voiceovers. What would you be doing if you were not doing voiceovers or soapoperas? _________________ "Bailey"

Your navel? Oh boy, where has this thread gone?
There have been some very interesting answers. I had no idea scrapbooking would be in the #1 VO-BB popularity spot. Go figure. _________________ Donovan

You might like scrapbooking, Donovan. All the cool kids are doing it. Here-- I'll lend you my heart punch and a 12" wavy trimmer. You have to buy your own adhesive. I don't share consumables.

I've got a circle punch and a photo cropper you can borrow, too. Make sure all your supplies are acid and lignin-free.
The only thing cool about scrapbooking if you're a guy is that you get to hang with a room of women. _________________ Jeff

I guess that's one way of lookin' at it
However all of that changes once you've spent enough time in the same "bed"room with one for any significant amount of time... the golf course begins looking like a very nice alternative
I kid... kinda _________________ Brian Forrester Voice Overs

If I could get paid to sail, yet not be away from my family, I would do it in a heartbeat.
Meh, that's what retirement is for I hope.
oh yeah, scrapbooking. My wife has two drawers full of that junk she hasn't touched in two years. _________________ Hart Voice Overs Blog
