Dear Cleeant,

As you perceive I have removed myself from you. With much badness always with your calls after I end myself there are bad words of my mouth. Did I have this contract you are agreeing of me? Always allowed words I record that have scripting never did I say English which is having no sense.

I ask lastly for the final once more time to withdraw your person from my contact point, this inconvenience will pleasure me muchly.

That's the one! Love it. I got much laughing from it Wink

I know. It is written badly with such great skill. How did you do it, Phillip?

This great reply and the fantasy of sending him a frightening invoice per Frank will sustain me through the day!

Amy,

Philip is an INTP (in the Myers-Briggs way of understanding things); which gives him something like super powers, I think.

And you're at least 3 stars in my book, added to Deirdre's and Frank's there's your 5 stars back.

Speaking of your stars at Voices.com, I was really jazzed to see you at the top of the list the other day, and that you're still there today. Good for you!

Here's a star * for you, Amy. Catapulting you beyond the 5-star cap!

I suspected that superpowers were involved.

Thanks! It's a little embarrassing, frankly.

Amy,

You aren't going to let a little embarrassment stand in the way of your success are you? OK. I'm teasing you, but seriously, you're a superbly talented young lady. Keep going and there's no limit to how high you'll climb.

Amy, (EDIT: Sorry...I keep forgetting to go to the next pages of threads!!!)

Think of how you felt when you said "I'm Free!!!"...Remember?

OK...now...think of how you feel right now dealing with this guy....Got it?

His is difficult to work with, is asking way too much for the price and is causing you an enormous amount of stress compared to the monetary compensation he is offering.

You have dealt with this situation in a very professional manner.

If he is threatening to go to "the Agency" - I would preempt that and send the email trail to said-agency explaining (notice I'm not saying "justifying") your position and sticking by your guns of resigning from the project.

[EDIT: But you already did that! You go Girl!]

I know we never like to burn bridges, but this one seems like it should be blown to smithereens!

I don't think you you want this guy referring you any clients anyway!

...and you're still at the top of the "Top Rated" @ Voices! So You Rock!

Liz

What are we going to do for entertainment when this is all over?

Probably not the way you feel about it though Amy Smile

Mary,

I'm confident another thread (or 12!) will develop to keep us entertained. They always do. Smile

Amy, it sounds like you originally had an oral contract with very limited terms. It seems the client was trying to change those terms which would actually be negotiating a whole new contract or an attempt to modify the old contract which has the same effect. What a situation to be in. It sure sounds like he's not worth any more of your time.

I like Frank's approach, if you want more pay me a LOT more, and pay me for what I have done before I will do any more for you, after you have paid me in advance.

Good luck with this guy, and we will make sure you have five stars here.

Greg

Amy:
I had inherited a family business a few years ago. Not really inherited, but fell into, I guess. A building service business (janitorial, windows, floors, day porter, etc.) Same sorta thing. Even with very cautiously and meticulously prepared estimates and quotes, people still say, "Can you just do this, or that," etc. I can really sympathize, as very often, with lots of people, it doesn't matter what you spell out in a signed contract. People always try to take advantage, and try to push you to see how much you will give to them or do for them until you get fed up enough to say NO. It all depends on how far you allow people to go, in my experience. GOOD LUCK!!

JK
