A couple years ago, I downloaded Norton on to my travel rig laptop. Nothing audio related worked. Called Norton, got a refund and switched to McAfee. Everything's been fine since.

Bobbin, remember to NOT have PT running when using another Audio Editor. PT takes over your PC's audio chain by default. If it has NOT been started you may run the other program, select the sound device in the Editors Preferences (the MBox "should" be seen in the program), then be off and running using the MBox as the sound card.

My best guess is that you already have the Digi Asio driver installed on your machine, and if you opened Soundforge, Audition, Audacity, etc. and checked the audio prefences, you would find the Digi ASIO driver in the list of available devices.
