Connie T takes a moment to reflect on the secure feeling one gets when one knows they are riding on Tawes Tires...
www.voiceover-talent.com/Tawes_ConnieT.mp3
Somehow in moving my studio around, I have managed to acquire or introduce a 60 cycle tone in my tracks! It is somewhat intermittant - I've checked crossed electrical wires - and it went away briefly and now it is back. My audio engineer friends have done as much phone trouble shooting as they can. Darn it all - now I have to find (and likely actually PAY for) an audio engineer to come in and look over my set up - and since it looks like a rats maze, they will want to start over from scratch. _________________ Playing for a living...

Connie,
Before you shell out the big bucks for a "consultant" to come in, be sure you check ALL your connectors and ports for secure connections. 60 Hz is usually produced by faulty or dirty connectors and/or ports.
Frustrating, isn't it? |

3rd day with a head cold... sneezing, coughing... but I still dragged myself to the computer to do this.

Bailey,
Maybe you're on to something with this "cold & congestion" thing...
I mean they took a perfectly deadly BOTULISM virus and made it marketable to baby-boomers as BOTOX --
Why couldn't they derive a decent Rhinovirus and package it as a temporary gravel for VO people?....

The standard has been set. If you do nothing else, listen to Connie's approach to the copy as that is as good as it gets.
Good attempts by all at a piece of copy that was particularly difficult. |

Usually by the 2nd or 3rd day... I can pull off a good Barry White. After that, it turns into gravel. And if the night air gets damp... look out! It would be a cool thing to fool your vocal cords into thinking you had a cold... but then there's that runny nose thing. _________________ "Bailey"

The ultimate guide track has already been provided by Connie but I thought that a US male version may help so my old buddy from Crapola Falls
1538AM W-MLDY "Melodies from tomorrow for a great old yesterday", the one and only, Todd Lee-Greatpipes voiced a bunch of version for y'all.
