George
Your right this is way more than the average VO would be using.
This system was first launched with a 2000pro OS. The 10K SCSI was used for cutting video. I haven’t produced much video lately but may take some small jobs.
Not sure how it will work but I will most likely put video files on the 10k for streaming when working on sound to picture. I have had Nunedo 1.5 for many years and will have to upgrade to current version.
I will have to work without a net for a bit regarding Raid O then when I have the jack I want to set up and external case with Raid 3 using SATA
I produce a weekly radio program that is 1hr and I want as much processing and HDD speed as I can get.
I bought a UAD-1 to get the plug-in load off the CPU. It turned out the board had a problem. I called Universal Audio and found them to be very helpful, just waiting for the replacement board and have ordered XP64 to run the software with. Cubase and Vegas are 64. The ProTools will as usual stay in the box it came in. I never could be productive with that DAW.
Tell me George have you ever messed with using both AudioTX and SC the same computer. I want to see if I can make that happen. In on SC / out on AudioTX. I am going to try using a FP10 fro Presonus. _________________ Esse quam videri "To be rather than to seem"

Ed:
Unless you are working with huge sample libraries with MIDI instruments, the extra hard drive speed of RAID0 will be unnecessary. I've been recording and mixing multitrack recordings on PC since the late 90's and have never required that, and some projects were upward of 50 tracks.
With the FP10, you can assign virtual inputs/outputs to route the audio between two or more software applications, I believe.
If that doesn't work, just assign different inputs and outputs on the FP10 to the two applications and physically patch them together. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
