no one messes around with parking. You park funny and take more then one slot, you get a nasty note left on your window. And yes we still have some valet parking. _________________ Jeff

I just remember when the phrase "pulling a Kazanjian" was used.
I probably butchered the name, but it was in reference to an employee who consistently (in the late 80s and early 90s) parked in the most atrocious manner.
He's probably the reason they started doing the "nastygram" thing with the parking... interesting guy, don't know if he's still there though. _________________ Voiceovers by Gregory Houser

Uhm, you guys know that they also have Apples in several of Microsoft's development labs right? | That's probably why Windows runs better on a Mac then on a PC... so i've been told. _________________ The Blog:

Acoustics are counter-intuitive. If one thing is certain about acoustics, it is that if anything seems obvious it is probably wrong. |

don't always believe what you hear, or more to the point, treat benchmarks and comments like that with a healthy skepticism.
I remember hearing that about photoshop until a laptop PC came out that smoked pretty much everything it was put up against.
Was it better? Not necessarily, but it's specs had been tweaked and more importantly, the technology had changed (the "killer laptop" was being compared to systems with older CPUs and slower HDDs... obviously that's going to change things).
Every vendor does it, which is unfortunate. The macs in my place run XP very nicely. I wouldn't say that they run the OS better than my dedicated PCs, but I wouldn't begrudge them much if the disparity were larger either (within reason... still shudder at the first versions of Virtual PC).
Mac vs. PC. So long as you're happy with it, who cares?
