Just to give an update, the booth is complete! I finally was able to get everything I needed. I'm pretty happy with the results.
I'll be doing a bit more to manage the light cord, but other than that, it's done. Now to get my investment back... _________________ Donovan

Too coo-ell, Donovan. Given all the high-falootin' talk on another thread about copy stands, I especially like the low-tech copy holder you've installed...jes might try it me-self. Now get back to work....

Donovan: If you haven't gotten anything yet, I bet some cabling racetrack would do the trick on that cord. I was able to get that at Home Depot. _________________ Greg Littlefield

Looks swell, Donovan! And, is that a Rode NT2A? It's the only one I'd recognize, 'cuz it's what I have.
You'll be getting your money back on your investment in no time!!

Looks like an NTK to me.
Nice booth Donovan! Good to hear that you're staying buisy.
Are you going to be set up for full produced spots as before? Want to keep recommending you to new clients. _________________ Wicked huge.....in India.

WELCOME BACK DONOVAN,
We missed you dude! I assumed that since you were quiet on the board that meant you were busy in the studio....so that's a good thing.
Wicked awesome boothness. Thanks for sharing the pics. _________________ Moe Egan

Thanks again for the compliments, they are truly appreciated. The mic is an NT-1000. As far as the noise floor, I don't know yet. I haven't had time to turn the thing on. Getting a house and a new 3rd shift job at the same time is pretty crazy. And yes Chuck, I am set up for the fully produced spots. _________________ Donovan

The completed project looks very "pro". It will be interesting to hear some before and after sound bytes. _________________ "Bailey"

Donovan,
I just went through this and moved into my do it yourself booth nearly 3 months ago, so I can really appreciate the efforts you've undertaken. I hope you're very pleased with your end result. Lookin' good! _________________ Bobbin Beam

Excellent work. I've been thingking of the same idea, but I can't seem to locate a space in my cellar to put it that is if I wish to have my car inside during the Boston Winter. |

Don, just put foam in your car, and SHAZAAAAAM! Instant vo booth. You could even run playback through your car speakers .
If you get it to sound good, at least you'll know that the finished product will sound great in people's cars. |

...hmmmm......but I must caution those who would transform their car into a vocal booth....especially if they have children who might be tempted to use it for tangential purposes.---->HERE
.....ahh, for the insouciance of youth....... |

Found this site about Build a Guerrilla Sound Booth.
Of the 3 ideas... the car looks the most comfortable. _________________ "Bailey"
