i am? i'm just a guy who misspelled "pronunciation".

but i wanted other VO folks perspective on voicing words that can be pronounced different ways. i give different reads on the line when i come across a word like "details". in case it's pronounced differently in a different region of the country.

mea culpa Embarrassed for overlooking the whole of the post. of course, there are wide-ranging and varied and interesting dialects and pronunciations in this country alone, probably even more in utah.

Diane, it's so unlike you to overlook the dih-TAILS of this board, even if you're EN ROOT to another EX-quih-zit destination.

People from Utah have their own issues. Smile Trust me, I spent my first 30 in the Beehive state.

Just a few of the gems:

Expensive - Ex-pen-seev
Orange - Oinge
Fork - Fark

Just a few I can think of off the top of my head. Not everyone speaks that way, but it was especially bad hearing newscasters butchering the first one.
