A similar cable came with my MBox. I've used it with and without the supplied cable without any noticeable difference.

"Chokes on Cables" actually sounds like some mystical name for an IT guy--
like "Dances with Wolves" for high tech.

I've got a couple of those cables-with-knobs in the house. Thanks for clearing up what they are.
I'm painting my knobs with kind of a Van Gogh look. Soon they'll be arty chokes.
