It's been a while, but I got one of those "quality control" messages when I had a link in my profile as you did. You are right...they work for US, not vice versa. We pay them, the client doesn't pay to post their low budget jobs. I've spent $195 twice and have NOT gotten a single job. I will not do that again. I'll keep the freebie page after this period expires.
On their "issues", they keep saying the "new v123" is on the way... Maybe one day we'll see it.....maybe before my time with them expires. |

V123's customer service leaves much to be desired. I would be very surprised to learn that they have someone employed there who actually has real, effective customer service experience.
In my dealings with them, I've seen the same sort of attitude that this message to Phillip conveys. I don't think they're being malicious or purposely deceptive. I think they haven't been trained to understand the point of view of the people they're dealing with. They only know how their job works, how to act to make things work within their own organizational structure.
It's like the clerk at the DMV who gets irritated with you when you fill out the wrong form or stand in the wrong line. They get irritated with you because you don't know the place as well as they do. It never occurs to them that they are there every day while we are there maybe once a year and so we could not possibly know the rules and the process as well as they do.
I once tried to send an audition to a V123 lead that was specific to Chicago. But the V123 system would not let me send it. I got to a page that told me that I could not try for that job because it was location-specific and I was not in that location. My profile says I'm in Chicago. All of V123's information on me should make it clear that I'm in Chicago. But still, no go. I called V123 immediately and left a message (it was after hours -- apparently the voiceover business stops at 6 pm Eastern time every day). I never got a response to that call. So a couple of weeks later, I sent an e-mail -- a rather expressive e-mail. That elicited a phone call from someone there. And that person went on to tell me that I had obviously done something wrong and that I should try again next time and see if I do it right, and if not, I should call them back. Meanwhile, I never once heard the word "sorry" or "apologize" or anything close to that come out of this person's mouth, and, meanwhie, I never got the chance to send my audition for that job, which means I never had the chance to make money from it.
I won't forget that experience when it comes time to renew.
Are you listening, Alex? |
