Once, I had copy sent to me that was so bad, that I didn't have a clue how to do a read for it. I was talking on the phone with the guy that wrote it and asked him to give me an example, just so I could "get the rhythm and timing" that he was looking for. He started reading it and then stopped:
"Whoa, that's pretty hard to read, huh? Well damn. Umm..any suggestions?"
After a small, internal victory dance, I gave him some advice and he liked it much better. I know that won't fly with all writers, producers, etc. but this was so awful, I didn't know what else to do. _________________ Donovan

I'll be stealing that technique. Seems so much more productive than weeping into my pop filter.
