You'll be fine Bruce. Up and tripping on your tongue before you know it. Seriously.....I hope all goes well. If there is anything I can do....let me know. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Bruce,
Blessings be with you. Think about it this way, 2007 will be one incredible new start!
You will do well, I feel it in my bones.

Alright. This is serious stuff here so I won't be glib about it...humor really has no place in serious situations.
Real life calls for real advice so here goes:
No matter what else you do prior to surgery, when you pinch a nurse, make sure it’s NOT a male nurse.
Man, you think you got problems now?
You'll come out of recovery and you're fine and all and there'll be this guy following you and winking at you and asking all sorts of weird questions about your catheter...and I wasn't even wearing one! Um, I mean, this is what I've HEARD can happen.
You'll be fine, no kidding. I'll see you Vegas. _________________ - Peter

Bruce,
As it was said earlier today surgeons are specialists in their field and I am sure they will take care to make you whole again.
You will be in our prayers, and will be awaiting your successful return to the mic.

Best wishes for a quick return to health, Bruce!
And don't forget what you sound like during your recovery - that's probably another character for your repertoire. |

I can empathize with the concern that arises whenever anyone wants to go near our pipes with any kind of surgical instrument, Bruce. My thoughts are with you.
My first broadcasting mentor just had to have some pollypps (SP?) removed from his vocal chords and he seems to be doing fine.
I also had a girlfriend who had to have a lump removed from her throat area when we were in college, and she had no problems either. |

Many, many thanks to all of you for your kind thoughts, prayers and support! Also all the success stories you've related.
I never thought I'd be looking forward to surgery, but I am! I'm not used to being so out of sorts so much. I've been utterly exhausted for long hours at a time, nausea's a frequent lurker, and I'm pale and look like hell (this according to my wife who really loves me!). Anyway, don't get it, whatever I got.
I'll keep you posted, and thanks again,
