Well, since our household is a strict democracy, I was out-voted. Instead of me going to V.O.I.C.E., my family and I will be going to Disney World. To be honest, before I even heard about V.O.I.C.E., they were busy making preliminary plans for DW, so there wasn't even a vote. Hey, when our 19 year old daughter and 17 year old son are still willing to go on a vacation with mom and dad, it's hard to think of reasons not to jump at the opportunity.
Hopefully I'll be able to make it to 2nd annual V.O.I.C.E. next year in New England! You are already planning it, right?
P.S. Have a drink for me as you are cleaning up on 31st. That's our 24th wedding anniversary. (Yeah, I'm an old fart.) |

With all this enthusiasm and registering for VOICE catching fire, please let me reiterate how exciting it is to see our online community come together for this live and in-person encounter here in my sleepy little town.
Let me also underscore that I'm willing to help with the smallest question, detail, arrangement, or contingency that you may need help with in advance.

Today was the day...
Put in for my new biometric passport.
Registered for the event.
Booked my flight.
Booked the hotel.
Had a nice, long chat with our Frank (What a really, REALLY great guy).
Arranged an extra day at the end for sightseeing - well, rock watching as I'm a geologist at heart....
I'm also arriving a day earlier, so if anyone has any ideas for the evening of the 26th I'm listening.

Ooh! we have the beginnings of a party!
I figured that since I'm flying 5537 miles to get there I might as well take some extra time and have fun. Beyond the copious amounts of joy that will be derived from VOICE itself that is.
Anyone else tempted?

I finally remembered the name of the place Maiku, it is called "the Valley of Fire". And is about 30 to 45 minutes outside of Las Vegas.
MCM, what cen we do to talk you into coming to Las Vegas? As Maiku said, "...we have to go bowling", Courvo, see what you have done?
It was great speaking with Maiku, and some of the attendees, I cannot wait to meet you "in-person".
The party is "on". Or, as Doc Phillips would say, "Party On!"
Toodles

Frank,
So the bowling is back on? I'm going to have to bring my bowling shoes, for sure. _________________ Be well,

Must be, Maiku is coming more than five thousand miles to go bowling with us...
I can see it now... Me, my Hugh Laurie/"House" imitation, and a bowling ball... (Laughs) Doesn't that draw a pretty picture...?

OK, the bowling is ON. 'Just no one keep track of the score, OK?
Palace Station doesn't have bowling, so I'll make sure we have something available at a nearby resort.
We'll take a lane behind the alley where we can pin our hopes. 'Maybe strike it rich on a spare frame. You Turkey! (did I forget anything?)
Courvo
P.S. Bob, definitely bring the shoes!
