ok - here ya go
i recorded at my "normal" settings mic> SP VTB 1 pre > motu 896hd > AA3 - then my AT 4050 at the same settings. the blue is pretty noisy - but i could probably back off & not drive it as hard and it would be ok. it is for sale again, but i knew that going in. like i said - the goal is to make enough money for 3 boxes of .45ACP. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

bottle sounds to me more forward and aggressive, but it seems like the bottle take is hotter....but no question the AT sounds more refined...are they unprocessed or did you do any sweetening?
I still think the Bottle sounds very useable., but then these things are soooo subjective |

no tweaking at all - raw file. no doubt the bottle take it hotter once you back it down a bit it actually sounds just fine - perfectly suitable. the whole thing was a crime of opportunity but it's back out the door for the blue. i have plenty of "suitable" mics - and i don't need another one. it came with a really nice stand, though. i'll probably keep that. maybe i'll sell it to somebody who is paying $3000 for a VO class. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis
